Happy New Year!
As 2011 draws to a close, people all across the globe are preparing to celebrate. The Duggars' party may be slightly different than the typical New Year shindig, but the family has traditions that everyone looks forward to.
"We'll take turns going around the room asking each of our 19 children what they feel like the Lord would have for their goals for the next year," writes Michelle in her latest Parentables post. "When [the] New Year's countdown begins those of us who can actually stay awake for it will pray in the New Year."
The Duggars' New Year celebration is also filled with board games, ping pong, and plenty of munchies. The clan especially enjoys pretzels with French onion dip--made from French onion soup mix.

We use it as a time to have friends over for a party!! I can't wait! It will be hard to start righting 2012 in the date.
We go to church and end the year worshipping God and start the new year worshipping God. It is lots of fun :)
We get together with some friends from church and just play games and have a time of fellowship. Tons of Munchies here as well. This year we are hosting it at our place, so I am busy preparing for the evening.
We make lots of yummy food (good but bad for you)
And then thank God for another year of living. :)
Normally we invite friends over and stay up late chatting and playing games, but with a newborn we're keeping it low key. Planning to watch a movie as a family and have banana splits.
Nothing to big just snacks and TV I guess! I pray for a good new year and make a list of goals I want to get done in the new year! 2012 is going to be great!
We usually go up t our cabin and hit the snowmobile trails. We always stay up until mid-night to see the year turn. After we are done on the trails we play games around the table and party with some friends and family.
Yummy... the onion dip sounds good!!
We will be having a big pala palooza at my house...lol. My family and I play games as well and have lots of munchies and watch movies, our tradition is eating homemade pizza and hot-wings. But we all thank G-d for giving us a New Year!!
G-d Bless, and have a Happy New Year!!
Blessings, Eva
Happy New Year! Do you know when the duggars are coming back???
My family does not drink or party so we always just stay in and watch a movie or TV..tonight is no different except that I am now a widow and alone so is lonely and a bit sad..However I have had health issues and this past year has been very difficult so I pray for a better year for us all in 2012. God bless,
Hi Anonymous! (at 6:32 PM)
TLC hasn't yet announced a start date for the new season, but we will post it when we hear.
Thanks for reading!

My tradition is just staying at home with my dog killing time waiting for the new year to role in. I spent most of the night either exercising to music or playing with my dog, and finishing up the last chapters of Revolution. I actually did it! I read the whole Bible in exactly one year!
Is Anna Duggar pregnant for the 3rd time? I can hardly wait for Anna's future announcement that she's pregnant again.
Hi Anonymous! (at 12:05 AM)
Not that we've heard. :)
Thanks for reading!

I don't understand why your family would support Santorum. Santorum supported Arlen Spector for re-election to the US Senate. Spector was one of the most vicious pro-abortion senators ever.
Santorum will sell out the unborn for political expediency. The principled thing for your family is simply not to vote or support any of the candidates. But to throw your support to someone who will sell out the unborn is unbelievable.
This year was a very special New Years. We spent the time with our daughter Tracy and her husband Ryan (who we consider our son) and our beautiful Granddaughter Olivia. We feel it was the best year ever.My Grandmother celebrated her 101st New Years. She is the most loving giving Grandmother and my best friend. (Elizabeth Newton Ladd born April 8,1911) celebrating with God and family is the best way to start a New Year. I wish everyone a Happy, Healthy, year with a Closer with God and please pray for everyone. I want to mention theDuggar's family is such a encouragement to all your viewers. Our thoughts and prayer are with your family. God Bless each and everyone o you.
I agree with Anonymous, it will be hard writing 2012 in the date... Especially because I am home-schooled and have to head my paper, I have to write the date:)
My family does not drink ea-their, I don't know how people could stand getting drunk.. It is kind of weird that one of the biggest holidays is New Years, and most people drink on that day every year:( I hope nun of the things I said offend anybody. If they did please tell me. I am almost 12 and do not mean to offend anyone:)
Blessings,
Eva
Trish Khoe, It must be a blessing that your Grandmother is 101 yrs old! I pray that she lives a long and blessed life.
G-d Bless,
